  • Book Clubs

    The library hosts book clubs for all interested 5th and 6th graders. Book clubs are held monthly and all students in those grades are invited to participate. Students choose the books that the group reads and come together for a facilitated discussion about the book.

  • Breaking Bread

    Breaking Bread is a lunchtime conversation group for 5th and 6th grade students that meets approximately once per month during the school year. All students in these grades are welcome and encouraged to participate. Meetings are facilitated by the School Psychologist and an Upper Elementary teacher.

  • Curtis Creative Guild

    Curtis Creative Guild is an extracurricular organization that is one part workshop, one part think tank. CCG gives students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades the freedom to explore new materials and immerse themselves in areas of investigation beyond those that are covered in the school’s visual arts curriculum.

    Debate is much more than public speaking: It is a demanding and stimulating mental sport that teaches a myriad of skills that prepare students for academics and life.     The 2019-2020 school year marks the sixth year that Curtis School will participate in the challenging and exciting field of competitive Lego Robotics. The Curtis Cougars Robotics Team is highly popular extracurricular activity that is open to interested 5th and 6th graders.
