Support Curtis

Enhancing Your Child's Education

We are fortunate to have a community of families that is deeply committed to supporting our educational mission and is actively involved in the life of the school. We are tremendously proud of the strength of this longstanding partnership. We invite families to become engaged in the Curtis community and to embrace opportunities to enhance each child’s educational journey.

Curtis Annual Fund

Every family is asked to make a gift to the Curtis Annual Fund at the beginning of each school year. We encourage you to make a meaningful gift that is commensurate with your family’s financial ability. Gifts of any amount are welcome and appreciated, and every gift matters.

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating a student at Curtis. This is true for almost every independent school. Tuition plus a strong Annual Fund enable the school to meet the immediate costs of providing the rich curriculum and learning environment that are the hallmark of a Curtis education. Your Annual Fund contribution allows Curtis to strengthen its financial aid program towards the goal of a more socio-economically and culturally diverse student population. Additionally, it helps meet the cost of salaries and benefits that enable the school to attract and retain the best and most talented faculty and staff. Your support of the Annual Fund also allows Curtis to provide regular, critical maintenance for and enhancements to our beautiful campus. Gifts to the Annual Fund are 100% tax-deductible.

  • Capital Giving

Periodically, with guidance from the Board of Trustees, the school will embark on an initiative that requires significant funding. In those instances, we will mount a capital campaign to raise the funds that are needed in excess of the school’s Annual Fund goal. Curtis School’s major gifts effort provides funds for vital campus development as well as endowment, enhancing—and often transforming—our programs and facilities and ultimately our students’ elementary school experience.
  • Gift Planning

Remembering Curtis in your estate plan is a meaningful way to ensure the School’s ability to continue to fulfill its educational mission into the future. Planned gifts honor the lasting impact that Curtis has in the lives of our alumni, families, and friends and demonstrate the strength of the School’s continuing relationship with the Curtis community. A wide variety of planned giving options are available that will allow you to generously support Curtis while maintaining your current lifestyle and improving your overall financial and tax situation.

Curtis Parents Association

All parents and guardians are members of the Curtis Parents Association, a supportive and inclusive organization that welcomes all families. Many families who are active and involved volunteers form warm and lasting friendships. Volunteers support the school’s fundraising efforts, which include the Annual Fund and Curtis Celebrates!, and organizes community-building activities, such as the Curtis Fair. The Parents Association also manages a number of services for families, including hot lunch and new and used uniform stores, and coordinates community service opportunities for students and Curtis families.

The effectiveness of the Parents Association is directly proportionate to the involvement of every parent. The close working relationship of administration and faculty with the Parents Association is a unique strength that unites students, parents, and the School in a bond that enhances all three. Curtis has grown and flourished because of the vision, leadership, and commitment of its parent volunteers. All parents are encouraged to engage in the life of our School through the Parents Association.
