21 - Culver City School Campus

After two years of leasing space in the cramped quarters of St. Victor’s Church in West Hollywood, the elementary school (grades K-6) moved to a vacant public school belonging to the Culver City School District. Curtis students with C’s and S’s (awarded for Citizenship and Sportsmanship) sewn onto their school sweaters pose for a photo in this image dating to 1979-1982 that gives some idea of this campus with its architecture typical of California public schools of the mid-20th century.
