In the 1979-80 school year, the secondary school (students in grades 7-9) moved to a campus on Magnolia Blvd., in the San Fernando Valley, adjacent to the Sepulveda Basin. By this time, increased enrollment, the differing facility needs of students in the lower and upper grades, and the cramped temporary quarters at St. Victor’s Church necessitated this relocation. For the first time, Curtis students did not attend school together on one campus. The upper and lower schools would not be reunited until Curtis School opened on Mulholland in fall 1983.
