20 - First Cheerleaders

The secondary school (grades 7-9) established at the former Carden School site on Magnolia Boulevard, next to the Sepulveda Basin, had access to an expansive nearby field that provided ample space for a competitive athletics program. As the secondary school established its identity, Curtis gained its first cheerleaders. The 7th grade squad is seen in this photo from the 1980-81 school year.
