Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate, timely, age specific direct patient care to a student body population of approximately 500 students
- Provide education and support to students, faculty, staff and parent/guardians surrounding COVID-19 policies & procedures.
- Review, evaluate and enforce the protocol set forth by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health
- Respond to emergency medical needs on school campus within the nursing scope of practice
- Medication administration may be required
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Experience in pediatric, urgent care or emergency room experience strongly preferred. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or nursing school and at least 1 year related experience and/or training; Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must take and pass a standard dosage and calculation exam. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, and Internet software.
Certifications or Licenses: Current CA RN license, BLS, PALS, Fire/Safety
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
