  • What grades does Curtis teach?

    Developmental Kindergarten through Grade 6.

  • What are the age cut-offs to enter Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten?

    A child must turn 4 before March 1st to start DK in the fall of the same year. A child must turn 5 before July 1 to start Kindergarten in the fall of the same year.

  • Does Curtis accept applications at all grade levels (DK-6)?


  • How many openings are there for new students at each grade level?

    There are 32 openings in DK each year and 34 in Kindergarten. Usually, there are one to two openings in each of grades 1 through 6.

  • How early can I apply?

    One year before your child is ready to begin school. You may apply online on the Curtis School website at the beginning of September for the following school year.  The online application form for the 2021-2022 school year will be available September 1, at 8:00 a.m.

  • What is the application deadline?

    We accept into the applicant pool the first 75 applications submitted for DK and 150 applications submitted for Kindergarten. The deadline to submit an application for Grades 1-6 is December 1, 2020.

  • When will I receive an admission decision and what is the deadline to return a contract to ensure my child's enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year?

    Applicants will be notified of admission decisions on March 5, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., and contracts must be returned by March 15th.

  • What is the current tuition?

    Tuition for the 2020-21 school year is $32,348.

  • Does Curtis provide any financial aid?

    Need-based financial aid is awarded at all grade levels.

  • What are the hours of attendance?

    Developmental Kindergarten students attend school from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade attend from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

  • Is child care available for students before or after school?

    Students may arrive at school beginning at 7:30 a.m. at no additional cost. After school, supervised day care is offered from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The charge for day care is $8.50 per hour beginning at 4:15 p.m. and an additional $1.00 for each minute after 5:30 p.m.
  • Does the school have a lunch program?

    Curtis uses a vendor/caterer that offers a selection of cold and hot meals for students five days a week. Parents and guardians may pre-order and purchase meals for their children on the vendor's website.

  • Does Curtis have a bus program for students?

    We currently have five bus routes serving a wide geographical area.
