44 - Curtis Cares Day of Service

Over the years, students and families have engaged in a wide range of community service activities designed to nurture our Curtis compassionate hearts. In 2017, the school and Parents Association hosted the first Curtis Cares Day of Service—a day for all of us to come together on campus and participate in a variety of efforts benefiting the wider Los Angeles community. Families Helping Families is one of the central projects families complete on Curtis Cares Day, filling student-decorated boxes and baskets with items our community has contributed to help low-income families that are matched with our classrooms by the non-profit One Voice organization.
