This image recalls the beginnings of our strong tradition of robotics in both the curriculum and as an extracurricular competitive team. Here we see former Science Teacher Dr. Linda Schaffer coaching Curtis’s First LEGO League (FLL) Robotics students at a practice session in 2013-14. Upper Elementary students have thrived in the FLL robotics program and our teams have been very competitive in area FLL tournaments. Many students exposed to robotics in the science curriculum, as a 6th Grade elective, or through participation on the school’s team have discovered a passion that they carry with them into middle school, high school, and beyond.
