Learning at Curtis

Curtis offers a challenging academic curriculum that promotes dynamic, engaging approaches to teaching and learning.
We balance traditional and innovative pedagogical approaches to ensure that students develop a strong foundation for future success, becoming engaged learners and active participants in a school community. Our faculty fosters students’ mastery of developmentally appropriate literacy and numeracy skills, as children learn to create, to understand, to reflect, to transmit, to include, and to strive.

Our goal is to develop, in every child, a sound mind in a sound body, governed by a compassionate heart. We recognize that children are individuals who have diverse learning styles and, in consequence, a diversity of teaching methods is required to maximize effective learning and the development of each child's potential to succeed. We take great pride in the caliber, commitment, and collaboration of our faculty and academic staff.

Our students become young people of character who are also critical thinkers, effective communicators, respectful collaborators, and resilient problem solvers. Curtis graduates leave us as whole, self-disciplined, ethical beings, who are well prepared to pursue, confidently, the next stage in the journey of their lives.
