Parents

Welcome

Curtis fosters an active partnership with our families. The Parents Association generously provides many services for our community, raises funds for financial aid, and contributes to the life of the school in a myriad of ways that enrich the experience of all our students, families, teachers and staff.

From the Parents Association President

Curtis School is a community based on vibrant parent involvement. Parents and guardians of Curtis students are automatically members of the Parents Association. Our regular PA meetings take place on the first Wednesday of every month. We are always excited to welcome new faces, and we encourage all parents and guardians to join us whenever possible.

The Curtis Parents Association was organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at Curtis by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and teachers through volunteerism and fundraising. Whether chairing an event, serving on a committee, attending a function, or suggesting a new initiative, our parents' participation plays a critical role in strengthening our community and our children's experience at Curtis.

The Parents Association raises significant money to support the Curtis School Financial Aid Fund through our annual school Fair, Cougar Wear, Practically New Uniforms, Book Spree, Party Book, Boutique and Curtis Celebrates!

Additionally, there are many opportunities to volunteer, including working in the Library, serving Hot Lunch, participating in Curtis Cares Community Day and helping with International Lunch Day and Go Global Week.

Once a student is enrolled in the school, a great way for parents and guardians to stay informed and connected to all Curtis news and events is to login to the Curtis School CougarNet and to read the weekly publication of CougarNotes that all parents and guardians receive by email on Sundays.

We look forward to a wonderful school year and the opportunity to continue to foster the spirit of the incredible Curtis Parent Community!

Warmly,

Jeanine Kay
Curtis Parents Association President, 2018-2019
