Our Active Parents Association

At Curtis, we are always excited to see our parents on campus. Curtis parents are pure gold and contribute so much to the life of our school.
Monthly Parents Association meetings are a time when our parents come together to hear about how they can contribute to activities and events that the PA provides and sponsors for our students, families and faculty/staff. These gatherings often also include reports by administrators and announcements or presentations by students and faculty. At the most recent Parents Association meeting, Popcorn and Minion (played by PA members) made a surprise appearance with a fun skit that promoted and built excitement for the upcoming annual Curtis Celebrates! fundraising gala that benefits the school’s financial aid fund. We were also treated to a preview of the amazing grade-level art projects that our students created to be auctioned at Curtis Celebrates! We heard an update from student representatives of the 5th and 6th grade Roots & Shoots student community service group and were inspired by informational presentations by faculty members about extracurricular opportunities for our Upper Elementary students in debate and robotics. The Parents Association is a vibrant and active partner with the school and gives our parents the opportunity to be active in school life while making connections with one another. There is a warm welcome and a role for every parent who wants to be involved, and many lifelong friendships have begun by participating in the Curtis Parents Association.
