AMC8 Math Competition High Scorers Celebrated

In November, Upper Elementary students in 5th and 6th grades took part in the American Mathematics Competition AMC8 nationally-administered mathematics contest. The AMC8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The scores were released in January and our double-digit-scoring students were recognized with certificates and cheers of approval from our community at Friday Flag assembly. We are so proud of all our students who challenged themselves to take this advanced math test and who work every day to grow their math understanding, math skills and intellectual literacy.
