Application Process

2020-2021 Application Checklist for Admission to Grades 3-6

List of 7 items.

  • 1. Complete Online Application

    Beginning September 3, complete the online application and submit it along with the application fee of $150. We accept the first 200 DK/KG applications that are submitted into our applicant pool.  Applications for admission to Grades 1-6 must be returned prior to December 1, 2019.
  • 2. Schedule Parent Interview & Campus Tour

    After you have submitted an application for admission, please email Mimi Petrie at to schedule a parent interview and campus tour. Your visit should be approximately one hour.
  • 3. Testing Requirements

    Students applying for Grades 3-6 will be assessed during the Admission Testing Day on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

    Students applying for Grades 5-6 will be required to take the Lower Level Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Registration and information about the test is available on the ERB website,  Please be sure to include Curtis as a recipient for the scores. Our ISEE school code is 054000. ISEE results should be received by our office no later than February 1, 2020

  • 4. Deliver School Evaluation Forms

    Please download and deliver the appropriate school evaluation form(s) to your child’s current school. They must be received in our Admissions Office by February 1, 2020.

  • 5. Submit a Personal Letter of Recommendation

    Submit a personal letter of recommendation from a family friend or relative to the Admissions Office by February 1, 2020.

  • 6. Attend the Upper Elementary Admissions Parent Coffee (Optional)

    We will host a parent coffee on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. to provide an overview of our program, review the Upper Elementary admission process, and meet with faculty and current parents.  All Upper Elementary applicant parents will receive an invitation for this Parent Coffee.
  • 7. Attend Admissions Testing Day

    On Saturday morning, February 8, 2020, Students applying for grades 3-4 will be assessed by faculty.  Students applying for grades 5-6 will work on a collaborative project and meet with faculty and administrators.Information for this event will be mailed in November.
