The Scholarship Fund

An important goal of the board of trustees is to build a diverse student body at Curtis. Our scholarship program is necessary in our efforts to attract students from all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and to create an environment that is enriched both inside and outside the classroom. By creating greater diversity, we broaden the experience of all students and prepare them to take their place in the world community of the future.

Each year, we receive far more requests for financial aid than there are funds available. There are a number of criteria for awarding financial aid, including the applicant's scholastic eligibility and achievement, the child's character, his or her ability to contribute to and benefit from the educational program of Curtis, and the financial need of the family.

Our goal is to surpass the national average for students receiving financial aid in independent schools by providing more assistance to a greater percentage of our student body. The Scholarship Fund is crucial to meeting this goal. Your support is essential if we are to continue sharing our excellence with deserving students, while creating a more diverse student body.

Our Goal
Because every child benefits, Curtis School has established a goal of 100% participation by currently enrolled families.
