LOWER SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL
Lower School Student Council is for students in grades first through third. Officers and members are elected by the students in their class. This group works on projects serving the Curtis School and Los Angeles communities. For example, Lower School Student Council may collect used backpacks for School on Wheels serving homeless children. Lower School Student Council may collect Pennies for Pups at Guide Dogs of America, make holiday cards for Children’s Hospital or educate Curtis children about recycling. Council meetings meet regularly at lunchtime.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL
Middle School Student Council is designed to put students in leadership roles on our campus and in the community. Members of the Middle School Student Council serve in the traditional roles of Student Council and work together as role models for the Middle School student body. Throughout the school year, duties include helping classes with their community service projects, announcing the Spectator Code at athletic games, participating in social action through letter writing campaigns, making announcements at Flag, and creating lessons for Lower School students.
