Director of Advancement

Curtis School, an independent, DK-6 coeducational day school, is searching for a Director of Advancement to work collaboratively with the Head of School, Leadership Team, the Board of Trustees, the Curtis Parents Association and Alumni Council in advancing the strategic goals of the School.

The Director of Advancement oversees the school’s development, communications/marketing, and alumni relations programs. S/he must passionately embrace and be able to effectively communicate the mission and vision of Curtis School to internal and external constituencies, including developing and implementing marketing and communications efforts that support the school’s overall mission, image, reputation, and leadership position in independent school education. S/he must be able to build relationships with constituents that deepens their commitment to and support of Curtis School.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker; have the ability to assert visionary leadership that inspires and motivates others; be excellent at multi-tasking and setting priorities; have capacity to work with and develop the fundraising capabilities of a Board; have exceptional writing and speaking skills; be technically savvy; and have a dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Curtis offers a competitive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Screening for the position will begin on December 1.
